I'm so very happy that you are following along and watching our trip in China! I wanted to tell you that Olivia saw some older kids today (probably around your age). We had to go to the doctors office this morning and as we waited to see the doctor she smiled and played peek a boo with some older kids (We'll make sure to write more about the doctors office later). I think Olivia would love to come and visit you in your classroom if Mrs. Ottinger says it is ok.
Do you remember a few days ago I told you she has one word that she says so far? Well, I thought I better tell you what that word is! I'm sure she'll start saying more pretty soon but right now all she says is "ayya"! Now here is how you have to pronounce it. First, you have to pretend that you are about to karate chop a board or something. Next, you have to make sure the second syllable is much louder than the first. OK....now you try it. "AYYYYY YA!!" Nice job!
Olivia can't wait to meet you all someday soon. Thank you for reading about our trip.
Love from Olivia's mommy (Karis)

Dear Olivia and Karis,
It is Saturday morning, I am sitting here with Karie, we miss you. Karie was just telling me she has tried and tried to leave a message on the blog and cannot. So we were just looking at it and I discovered this message. My students will be SOOOO excited!! (As am I!!)
Okay, Karie and I are off to watch the giggling baby again.
We miss you bunches, we cannot wait for you to get home and get some rest so we can meet Olivia in person!!
Hope everyone is feeling well.
love,
cindy
Karis,
How cool was it to sign "Love from Olivia's mommy"?!! Sure sounds sweet!! Are you trying to get her to say mommy? We feel like we already know Olivia through this blog. The kids love the pictures and especially the videos! Can't wait to see you and your little sweetie!
Love,
Mary Kay & Dave, Mitchell, Rachel and Katie
Dear Karis, Olivia, Christine and John,
Lets just say I am technically challenged. I am finally getting this to work. AMEN. THank you father God! Thanks to Cindy, helped me. I am so touched by your messages and video. I can't stop crying it is so beautiful. My house hears everyday about your travels and is so amazed by your courage and love. Karis, I see the exhaustion and am hugging you right now! Isn't it amazing how underneath that, you continue to give your all... for the love of YOUR daughter. She is truly a gift from heaven. We are so blessed to share this with you.
I cannot wait to meet Olivia in person. I pray for safe travels, improving health for those with colds and hope the doctors appt went well. Love, Karie
